This week we have made some important enhancements to improve the security of your Zapnito community site. These changes will impact the invitation flow when adding new members to your community.
We're introducing a landing page where new members will be directed to from the invitation email they receive; this landing page will house the link to accept their invite, which will prevent email firewalls from mistakenly expiring invitation links when scanning email contents. Additionally, it allows us to reduce the length of time that an invitation link is valid, thereby improving the security of invitation links. Going forward, this change will mean your invitation links will expire either when they are used by the member they have been emailed to, or after 24 hours if they are unused.

- They are taken to a page which looks like this
- They use the button seen in the screenshot above to accept your invitation, and are directed to the onboarding steps as usual.
While this is a relatively small change, we're very pleased to introduce this security enhancement, which further protects your community and your members.
