An update has been rolled out that gives Community Admins more options to customise the avatars displayed for members who have not uploaded a profile picture.
Currently, members without a profile picture are shown a default grey avatar with the person icon:
With the new update, Community Admins will be able to configure the Avatar Style and Avatar Colours to better reflect their community.
Avatar Style
You can choose from the following options:
- Initials – displays the first letters of the member’s name.
- Person icon – uses the existing person icon.
- Gradient – displays a gradient using colours from your chosen colour palette.
Avatar Colour Palette
You can create your own colour palette using the colour picker and save your selections. We recommend choosing a minimum of two colours, which will then be applied at random across member avatars.
You can also preview how your chosen avatar style and colours will look across your community before saving your changes.
Please note: No changes will be made to existing member profiles where a profile picture has already been uploaded.
This update is now available in your communities.
