For nearly 20 years, I've worked in the digital media sector, with hands-on experience in editorial, marketing, sales and R&D. I'm passionate about engaging and understanding customers to develop great content and products. Formerly Chief Product & Customer Officer at Zapnito, I'm now an advisor to the company.
I am the Publishing Director of the Nature Research Journals, which means I have the immense privilege of leading the publishing team for the Nature Journals. I am responsible for the business development of the journals, working closely with editorial, marketing and sales departments. It’s a rewarding and fascinating job working with talented teams across many departments. I have had a varied career at Springer Nature (and prior to that Nature Publishing Group) over the last 18 years working in publishing, project management, editorial and web development roles . Prior to moving into publishing (and some time ago now) I was a postdoc at Cornell University where I used laser spectroscopy and imaging techniques to study the UV photo-dissociation of ozone.
