Hi! I’m Deana (pronounced Dena). I serve as the Executive Director, Model of Instruction here at IE. Some of you might know it as Academic Teaming. I lead the team that creates and supports all things Model of Instruction, including: the toolkits, on-site PD, online academies, faculty support in schools etc… I have been in education for 28 years. I was a classroom teacher for almost half of that time and have had various leadership positions in the schools, regionally and at the district level. I currently live in Austin, Texas and spent much of my career in Alberta, Canada.
I am looking forward to interacting with all of you as we support and learn together in this community.
