About Yannick Romero

Yannick is Senior Knowledge & Advocacy Manager and leads the tobacco control activities at the Union for International Cancer Control, developing and gathering evidence-based information for global advocacy purposes. In addition, he dedicates his time to national cancer control planning, which consists of the analysis and evaluation of country cancer plans in the frame of the International Cancer Control Partnership. He is also responsible for leading the UICC Lung Cancer Collaboration (LCC) .

In the past decade, he has worked in the area of cancer, infectious diseases & genetics with diverse global stakeholders. Yannick holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Geneva Medical School.
