New Forums
Hello, first time poster. I lead a robust community that’s home to over 40+ product spaces, each containing a blog, a forum and feature request section. In past, we’ve had trouble with our team creating pages and subpages too quickly and now our architecture is chaos and we’re working to clean it up by collapsing/consolidating some of these product spaces.
My question is: when a stakeholder requests a new forum be built, what do you ask them to prevent creating a space that’ll just add to the chaos? I’ve tried suggesting they keep to their existing forum and implement tags, but they aren’t interested in this. They want to silo off customers with this one specific issue into its own specific forum. Has anyone dealt with a request like this? How did you handle it?
