I've been working in professional community building for 20yrs+ since founding Econsultancy (a community for marketers learning about digital marketing) back in 1999 and, more recently, Guild, a platform for professional communities and networking.
With a background spanning over a decade in marketing and communications, I've navigated through various facets of the industry, from PR to corporate communications, digital marketing, and traditional marketing. Managing projects across diverse client portfolios has been a key part of my journey.
An area where I excel is in project management, ensuring seamless and efficient execution of tasks and deliverables. The cornerstone of my success lies in establishing strong, enduring relationships with both brands and clients.
Whether it's curating compelling PR campaigns, spearheading digital marketing endeavors, or overseeing a project from inception to completion shows my passion for what I do!
Switch Education is committed to learner-centred approaches to digital education by helping learning professionals deliver the best learning experiences and learning outcomes possible. Our focus is on helping them develop the confidence and competence they need to transition from traditional, classroom learning to contemporary digital education. By putting pedagogy first, we remove the mindset obstacles and behavioural blockages that often prevent the creation of dynamic, online learning content, courses and programs. Our design, research and development processes use our 3-stage change model that is underpinned by Social Cognitive Theory, a proven approach through its core focus on boosting learner and educator self-efficacy beliefs. For over 25 years, I have worked as a management educator and leadership development consultant in Business Schools, Consultancies and Not-for-Profits in Australia, USA, Canada and the UK. Launching Switch fulfills my lifelong dream of giving educators, educational leaders, managers and leaders access to the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to thrive. My approach to pedagogy is strongly influenced by social cognitive theory and its core principle of self-efficacy beliefs. Digital technology provides an amazing opportunity to bring my dream to fruition. I've published articles in leading organisational psychology, HRM and education journals and blog regularly on digital education, management and leadership issues.
I've worked as a writer and communicator for the past 5-6 years, staring off in-house before going freelance in 2017. I specialise in tech and future of work trends, covering most buzzword-y topics like artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, smart cities and data (hopefully without the buzzwords!). In my spare time, I like to take long walks with my dog, explore London's coffee shops and travel.
Hi, I’m Alex, Customer Support Engineer at Zapnito. I have 5+ years experience helping businesses to power Community-Led Growth by advising and assisting our customers at every step of their Community's journey towards tangible growth and success.
I've worked in marketing and communications for over a decade, with experience in the charity sector, STM publishing, and agency-side for a variety of clients. In that time I've done everything from brand development to media relations. But my real passion is for all things digital, particularly content marketing and social media. Love: strategy, plain English, tea. Hate: corporate jargon.
