How to configure your site's General settings

An important early task in setting up your Zapnito site is configuring the General settings. Set basic information to aid SEO and help people know what your community is all about. It takes only a few minutes. Watch this video to find out what to do.

  • On the General settings page, you can set-up:
  • Your network / site name
  • Your site description
  • A homepage title tag
    • A 50-60 character phrase to aid SEO 
  • A homepage meta description
    • One or two sentences of up to 160 characters in total to aid SEO
  • Your organisation name
  • Your social media links & recommended hashtags
    • Choose from Facebook, LinkedIn and / or Twitter
  • BitLy integration, to enable you to track sharing of content via URL
    • You'll need to be able to login to your company's BitLy account to set this up
