Meg Bowen (She/Her)

Executive Director, Instructional Empowerment

About Meg Bowen

I spent more than 30 years in public education serving students, teachers, and administrators in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Florida, and believe education is the great equalizer.  After serving for several years as Assistant Principal and Principal, I became the Director of Elementary Curriculum for one of the nation’s largest school districts. I also served on the Board of Directors for the Early Learning Coalition and on the Board of Advisors for the Children’s Movement, reflecting my dedication to early childhood and social justice. My work with IE aligns perfectly with my passion for ensuring all students have access to a rigorous and engaging curriculum. I love to read, run, and play with my Yorkies.

It was such a pleasure to join you @Charles Thiede . I feel very fortunate to work with Zapnito and our incredible guide, @Alice Bramley-Dymond . Looking forward to continuing this journey and enhancing our customer experience through our Community for Deeper Learning.

This sounds like a great feature. I think we may be currently using badges to create tags, similar to this, but we do not have the sorting ability nor the dedicated landing pages. We'll have to decide if we want to switch over and begin using Topics instead. Looking forward to discussing with @Alice Bramley-Dymond at our next meeting.

Interesting!! I assume I can just link to our registration site for in-person events. I love the idea of promoting those in our Community.

Comment on How to create rooms

What's the difference between "Enabled" and "Signed in only" settings when creating a room - these options appear for content, discussions and directories. In our community, users must be signed in before they can access the community, so I don't think I need to select "signed in only" here. Is that correct?

How do I designate a room for premium customers only?
